Affordable Housing

It is clear that the issue of affordable housing for young families and those wishing to move to our communities to work is making it extremely difficult to provide for growth and for adequate staffing for many of our businesses. Possible solutions include construction of additional rental housing, providing incentives for those with unoccupied homes to provide long term rentals, allowing denser housing/cluster housing, encouraging secondary suites and auxiliary housing to be built on existing properties and/or allowing construction of smaller, more affordable homes than are currently permitted.
